A city built to be impressive!

Oh la la! Paris, the city of love...the city of crepes...the city of crowded streets, overpriced food, a maze disguised as the metro, a youth hostel with a slanting bed...yet it is still one of the most wonderful cities in the world! In australia, its so hard to imagine a city so rich in culture, history, art, food! haha and gorgeous sights! I really thought when i was at the top of the Arc de Triomph that this city was built to impress! everything is so strategically placed to make this city just the most beautiful place in the world! The real reason i was going to paris was to see my dad who was on a conference, and it was really cool to just spend some time with someone from home! On the first night i stayed in a hostel by myself coz my dad was only arriving the next morning, and decided at 9pm when i arrived, that althoguh i was alone (and barely anyone speaks english) i was in PARIS so i was not going to spend the night sitting alone in my hostel room! So i went to the eiffel tower and immediately had a crepe!! All i needed then was a baret and then i would feel completely transformed into a frenchmen! :) haha Anyways, i noticed that this guy in a suit was looking at me strangly as a gobbled down my crepe, at first i thought it was coz i could only imagine how disgusting i must have looked as i tried to catch bits of nutella falling from the crepe...but then he started following me, so i kept walking, and he kept coming, i started getting nervous and looked around for someone who sounded like they were from Australia- coz overseas, anyone from australia is safe...weird theory but it seems to work! Anyways, he caught up to me and started speaking french and touching my arm, im like go away, i dont speak french go away! and i turned and went the other way, this IDIOT kept following me! so i freaked out and im like FUCK OFF im not interested leave me alone, and he stil came, so im like, fine have it your way, and i walked straight up to the police, at which point he disappeared! thank god! then i also found some aussies who were on contiki so they were leaving in 10 minutes but hung out with them for a while, and then decided to climb up the tower- at this point it had began to drizzle a little, nothing too bad, so went up, by the time i got up there the drizzle had developed into torrential rain! No joke, then just to add to it all, there came a massive roll of thunder and lightening, which freaked me out, coz i guess the top of the eiffel tower is probably not the safest place to be in a lightening storm! at this point i met these american girls who took me out for dinner which was really nice, but by the time we got there we were all SOAKED TO THE BONE! luckily it wasnt that cold, so i survived! Anyway got home around 1pm, and was sooo ready to just sink into bed...and i did just that! I sank! and then i slipped as the freaking bed was tilted downwards as the back legs had collapsed, so my head was up whilst my legs where down! The whole night i had to constantly keep wriggling back up! Then the next 4 days were much easier as i stayed with my dad in his nice hotel, ate normal food and MEAT for the first time in a month which was exciting! i also had enough crepes to last a lifetime! yay! they are just sooooooooo amazing! I saw EVERYTHING! i payed a visit to mona at the louvre, i went to the moulin rouge and had to step out of the way as a prossie was running after her prey, went to the pantheon, notre dame and of course i went shopping- mainly presents, but shopping none the less! My favourite place however was the Sacre Coeur and montmarte! It was amazing, there was latin music being played in the streets, the artists square was just so nice...this is ridiculous, i cant put it into words, but here are some photos, but really, it was just all about the vibe...
