LIECHTENSTEIN
Small and Beautiful
08 Aug 2009
After helping with an English camp in Adelboden Switzerland, Marianne and I traveled to the small principality of Liechtenstein, between Switzerland and Austria. The country is the smallest German speaking nation in the world and is governed as a hereditary constitutional monarchy. It is also the sixth smallest independent nation in the world by land area! The main attraction in the capital city of Vaduz is the beautiful castle overlooking the city. The Prince of Liechtenstein still lives there so it is not open for tours but we did walk up to it and around it. The locals we met there were very friendly and helpful. The town was clean and nice for walking, with a great bus system. We enjoyed our short visit there.
